Tuner

One of the first thing to learn is how to tune your instrument. Avoid purchasing an old-fashioned tuner. Download the GuitarTuna app on your phone. It is free and very easy to use.

Metronome

The GuitarTuna app includes a metronome but the Pro Metronome app developed by Xiao Yixiang is more complete and can be very helpful for advanced students.


Guitar Stand

The guitar stand keeps your guitar within reach whenever you want to play! You can always put the guitar on the stand whenever you take a break from practice.

Music Stand

An adjustable music stand is important for keeping sheet music directly at eye level, thus ensuring good posture. 

Footstool

The footstool helps to keep the left knee elevated in order to give the fretting hand easier access to the fretboard. Alternatively, an ergonomic guitar support such as the Dynarette cushion or the Gitano can also be used.

Capo

Humidification

A guitar can be at risk when the weather is too dry. Cracks can appear on the neck, back, sides or soundboard. In the worst case scenario, the bridge can detach from the guitar. When humidity drops below 40%, one must use either a guitar or a home humidifier to avoid costly damages.

Hygrometer

The hygrometer is used to measure the level of humidity inside your home.
